Fitetrec-Ante: Horseback Pilgrimage to honor Pope Francis Jubilee of Mercy

Dear horse lovers, next weekend will be unforgettable!

At the dawn on Sunday 3rd July, Rome will welcome riders from all over the world. Starting from the Tor di Quinto Military Riding Center, they will get in the saddle to the Vatican City, in St. Peter's Square, to attend the Pope's Angelus on horseback and honor the Jubilee of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis. 

I will be there with my family and with 250 riders from the 45th Fitetrec-Ante National Horsetour and the pilgrims from the Journey of Mercy on horseback, a path started in Krakow, Poland, last 9th March passing through five countries to Italy. The event, organized by the Italian Federation of Equestrian Tourism  Fitetrec-Ante under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, the Regional Council and the City of Rome, is the jewel in the crown of the Federation’s equestrian tourism.

Cari amanti del cavallo, questo fine settimana sarà indimenticabile!

All’alba di domenica 3 luglio, Roma accoglierà cavalieri provenienti da tutto il mondo. In partenza dal Centro Ippico Militare di Tor di Quinto, raggiungeranno in sella piazza San Pietro, in Vaticano, per assistere a cavallo all’Angelus del Papa e rendere onore al Giubileo della Misericordia indetto da Papa Francesco.

Io non mancherò, sarò con la mia famiglia e altri 250 cavalieri provenienti da diverse regioni d’Italia per il 45° Equiraduno Nazionale Fitetrec-Ante e i pellegrini in sella del Viaggio della Misericordia a cavallo, un cammino iniziato a Cracovia, Polonia, lo scorso 9 marzo che ha attraversato cinque nazioni fino all’Italia. L’evento, organizzato dalla Federazione Italiana del Turismo Equestre Fitetrec-Ante con il patrocinio del Ministero dell’Ambiente, il Consiglio Regionale del Lazio e il Comune di Roma, è il fiore all’occhiello della Federazione per quanto riguarda il turismo equestre.

Thanks to Fitetrec-Ante  and to all organizers of the event that make it possible to celebrate in the saddle the Jubilee of Mercy and live such an incredible spiritual experience of equestrian turism riding through the unspoilt forests and meadows of Italy up to Rome.

Grazie alla Fitetrec-Ante e a tutti gli organizzatori che hanno reso possibile celebrare a cavallo il Giubileo della Misericordia e vivere un’incredibile esperienza spirituale di turismo equestre cavalcando attraverso i boschi e i prati incontaminati d’Italia fino a Roma.
