Presented at Milan Fashion Week last week, the Fall Winter 2017/2018 Collection “Homogenous Contrasts” it’s a true concentrate: natural colors, simple but authentic materials that evoke nature in every shape.
The red coat I’m wearing, for example, is in “Casentinese” wool cloth and its particular color is obtained from the “robbia”, a root that is typical of Tuscany. The result is a 100% natural product, strictly tied with the area where it’s manufactured, that absolutely conquered me in a moment!

Presentata alla Milano Fashion Week della scorsa settimana, la Collezione Autunno Inverno 2017/2018 “Contrasti Uniformi” è un vero concentrato: tinte naturali, materiali semplici ma autentici che evocano la natura in tutte le sue forme.
Il cappotto rosso che indosso nella foto, ad esempio, è di panno tessuto di lana di Casentino e la caratteristica colorazione viene ottenuta grazie ad una radice diffusa in Toscana, la robbia. Il risultato è un prodotto 100% naturale e strettamente legato al territorio in cui viene prodotto, che mi ha conquistata in un attimo!
Another material in the DNA of Twins Florence is natural hemp, tied to velvet to create unique and reversible items in Fall Winter 2017/2018 Collection “Homogenous Contrasts”. And of course there is leather for coats, the true forte of the brand!
Something I really found interesting is that, apparently, the style of those clothes can look androgynous, but in reality it’s very feminine and fashion! Linda Calugi, the creative mind of Twins Florence confessed me that she finds much more feminine a long coat than a more frivolous style. The target of Twins Florence is a woman attentive to fashion, but also that don’t like to be uniformed. Linda got inspired by military uniforms for this collection, that recalls the ’70s.
Un altro materiale che da sempre è nel DNA di Twins Florence è la canapa naturale, che nella Collezione Autunno Inverno 2017/2018 “Contrasti Uniformi” viene unita al velluto per creare capi reversibili unici. E poi non può mancare, soprattutto per i capispalla, la pelle, vero cavallo di battaglia del brand!
Una caratteristica che mi ha colpito particolarmente è il fatto che all’apparenza il taglio di questi abiti può sembrare androgino, ma è in realtà profondamente femminile e fashion! Linda Calugi, la mente creativa di Twins Florence, mi ha confessato che trova molto più femminile un bel cappotto lungo piuttosto che uno stile più frivolo. Il target di Twins Florence è quello delle donne attente alla moda ma che al tempo stesso non amano uniformarsi alla media. Linda si è ispirata alle uniformi militari per questa collezione, che si rifà agli anni ’70.
Even for colors, Twin Florence chooses to get close to natural colors that we Horse Lovers like so much: military green matched with dark camel, rust, ochre, with some black and blue navy.
