2016 adds Mexico City to the impressive series destination line up of the five-star Longines Global Champions Tour calendar, expanding the footprint of the circuit in The Americas. After the incredible success of last year, the fantastic leg of Rome returns at the Stadio dei Marmi on September 9th to 11th. The prestigious Paris event will be staged from 1st to 3rd July in a new stunning venue at La Plaine de Jeux de Bagatelle, offering a tantalizing final glimpse ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio. With the Tour reduced to 15 events, London is set to make a comeback to the calendar in 2017 at a special new central venue.

But news are not finished. This year will also see the debut of the Global Champions League, team series, on Friday of each leg of LGCT and for the first time ever two riders from different countries will be joining forces on the same team to compete in the revolutionary new format for a share of a Euro 7.5 million prize purse, including an overall bonus to be shared at the end of the season in Doha.
