This year too I didn’t want to miss the 2017 edition of Fieracavalli Verona: the most important weekend for equestrian style in Italy! The biggest equestrian exhibition of my country hosted once again the only Italian leg of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping, during the Jumping Verona.
This was the perfect occasion for me to give once again an equestrian touch to a dress by Kate by Laltramoda - Do you remember the Olympic dressage athlete Valentina Truppa's photo shooting? I matched it with the glasses of Kaleos Eyehunters and the equestrian themed foulard of Tacchi a Cavallo, for a 70s look that I enriched with the short boots of Tory Burch of the past equestrian collection and the vintage bag of YSL – directly from my friend Stefania's closet :-) Obviously, I also had my favourite Longines watch from The Longines Equestrian Collection. Anche quest’anno non potevo perdermi l’edizione 2017 di Fieracavalli Verona: il fine settimana più importante per lo stile equestre in Italia! La maggiore esposizione equestre del nostro paese ha ospitato ancora una volta l’unica tappa italiana della Longines FEI World Cup di salto ostacoli, all'interno del Jumping Verona.
Questa è stata l'occasione ideale per dare ancora una volta un tocco equestre a un abito di Kate by Laltramoda - Vi ricordate gli scatti dell'atleta olimpionica di dressage Valentina Truppa? L'ho abbinato agli occhiali di Kaleos Eyehunters e al foulard di Tacchi a Cavallo con stampe equestri dai colori pastello, per un look anni ’70 che ho perfezionato con gli stivaletti di Tory Burch della collezione equestre dello scorso anno e la borsa vintage di YSL - direttamente dall'armadio della mia amica Stefania :-) Ovviamente non poteva mancare il mio orologio Longines preferito della The Longines Equestrian Collection. Che dite, il risultato vi piace Horse Lovers?
It was an exciting weekend, that I had the honor to live as a guest of Longines: its wonderful stand at the pavilion n° 7 of Fieracavalli, the reserved area near the competition field, and the reconnaissance tour next to riders and horse women are really the best way to live an equestrian event like this one! After visiting the stand and sending to my baby boy a sweet postcard with the Arena of Verona in “Longines” blue, I enjoyed live the Prix Antonio Carraro (1,45 m.) and the Prix Franco Tucci (1,50/1,55 m). The French rider Simon Delestre won both, the first with Catch Me T and the second with Chesall Zimequest. What an incredible performance!
È stato un fine settimana ricco ed entusiasmante che ho avuto l’onore di vivere come ospite di Longines: tra il suo meraviglioso stand al padiglione 7 di Fieracavalli, l’area riservata a bordo campo e il giro di ricognizione insieme ad amazzoni e cavalieri, non c’è modo migliore per vivere davvero un evento equestre di questo tipo! Dopo aver visitato lo stand e aver spedito una dolce cartolina al mio bimbo raffigurante l’Arena di Verona dipinta in blu “Longines”, mi sono messa comoda per assistere dal vivo al Premio Antonio Carraro da 1,45 metri e al Premio Franco Tucci da 1,50/1,55 metri. A trionfare in entrambi è stato il francese Simon Delestre, prima su Catch Me T e poi su Chesall Zimequest. Che performance incredibile!

Longines presented the Official Watch of the Longines FEI World Cup: a new feminine model of The Longines Master Blue Collection, an extraordinary time watch of 29 millimeters, enriched by the blue soleil quadrant with 12 diamonds and the blue wristband in leather: I think that it’s really beautiful and elegant, also in its metal watchband version.
Longines ha colto l’occasione per presentare l’Orologio Ufficiale della Longines FEI World Cup: un nuovo modello femminile della The Longines Master Collection Blu, uno straordinario segnatempo da 29 millimetri di diametro impreziosito dal quadrante blu soleil con 12 indici di diamanti e dal cinturino in pelle blu: io lo trovo davvero bello ed elegante, anche nella versione con cinturino in acciaio.

Sunday I decided to stay at home with my little Horse Lover, watching the leg of the FEI World Cup with ClassHorseTV, that broadcasted it live.
It was a very exciting competition, that kept us glued to the television until the end, when Maikel Van der Vleuten on VDL Groep Verdi TN defeated Alberto Zorzi on Fair Light van T Heike with a very short advantage! What a pity for Alberto, this would have been an amazing victory at home! With this second place, the Italian rider conquers the top of the ranking of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Western European League 2017/2018. Congratulation to Maikel Van der Vleuten, he really deserved this victory!
La domenica ho preferito passarla a casa con il mio piccolo Horse Lover, guardando la tappa di FEI World Cup con ClassHorseTV, che l'ha trasmessa in diretta sui suoi canali.
È stata una gara molto emozionante, che ci ha tenuti incollati allo schermo fino alla fine, quando Maikel Van der Vleuten in sella a VDL Groep Verdi TN ha battuto il nostro Alberto Zorzi con Fair Light van T Heike per pochissimi centesimi di secondo! Peccato per Alberto, sarebbe stata una bellissima vittoria in casa! Con questo secondo posto, comunque Alberto Zorzi ha conquistato la vetta della classifica provvisoria della Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Western European League 2017/2018. In ogni caso, congratulazioni a Maikel Van der Vleuten, ha davvero meritato questa vittoria!
