My journey to Cuba: happy New Year 2015

“It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end” (Ernest Hemingway)

Dear horse lovers, New Year celebrations always turn out more exciting when you are traveling, exploring a new destination and a new culture! These holidays I took advantage of the long festivity to join a unique place with sun, horses, and joyful people… Yes, Cuba ;-)

Internet connection was very challenging and I could not post as frequently as I would have wished but here I am, back in Italy, happy to share with you my journey to such a beautiful Country.

Around Havana City, Cuba's energetic capital!

Beautiful painting by the Cuban artist Jose Antonio Oliva Alfonso

Shoemaker repairing my espadrillas :-)

Relaxing at the Hotel Habana Libre

The colonial town of Cienfuegos at the heart of the Country’s sugar cane, mango, tobacco and coffee

I feel grateful and blessed for starting the year with this wonderful trip to one of the most fascinating places in the world.

Stay tuned for the next post on Cuba :-*

Kisses
