What an incredible weekend is just ended! As you know, Saturday and Sunday I had the honor to be at Fieracavalli 2016 as guest of ClassHorse TV. Those have been two intense, hard but absolutely beautiful days, and I would like to thank once again the most loved Horse Lovers TV channel for this great opportunity.
And what possibly could be the best way to end a weekend like this other than watch live the Italian leg of the Longines FEI World Cup Western Europe, that closed the three days of Jumping Verona. Thanks to the hospitality of Longines, sponsor of the event, I had the pleasure to enjoy an amazing show at the Longines VIP area, wearing a marvelous dress by Hobbs London.

Che fine settimana incredibile quello appena passato! Come sapete sabato e domenica ho avuto l’onore di partecipare a Fieracavalli 2016 come ospite di ClassHorse TV. Sono state due giornate intense, faticose ma assolutamente bellissime e vorrei ringraziare ancora il canale televisivo più amato da noi Horse Lovers per questa grande opportunità.
E non poteva esserci modo migliore di concludere un fine settimana così se non quello di assistere alla tappa italiana della Longines FEI World Cup Western Europe, che ha chiuso i tre giorni del Jumping Verona. Grazie all’ospitalità dello sponsor Longines, mi sono potuta godere un gradissimo spettacolo nell’area VIP di Longines, indossando un meraviglioso vestito di Hobbs London.

But I’m also a big fan of the sport as it is, so I was very happy for the winner, the Egyptian rider Abdel Said, who competed with Hope van Scherpen Donder. He has been so fast, as well as perfect, and he finished the competition before last year’s winner, French rider Simon Delestre with Chesall Zimequest. Swiss rider Martin Fuchs on Clooney, arrived third.
È stata una gara molto emozionante, soprattutto per il barrage, a cui sono arrivati 13 atleti. Da brava nazionalista, non potevo che fare il tifo per Emilio Bicocchi e Gianni Govoni, i due soli azzurri arrivati alle fasi finali della gara.
Ma sono anche una grande amante dello sport puro e semplice, quindi sono stata davvero molto contenta per il vincitore, il cavaliere egiziano Abdel Said, che ha gareggiato con Hope van Scherpen Donder. È stato velocissimo, oltre che perfetto, e ha terminato la gara davanti al vincitore dello scorso anno, il francese Simon Delestre su Chesall Zimequest. Lo svizzero Martin Fuchs, in sella a Clooney, si è preso l’ultimo gradino del podio.

Abdel was a pleasant surprise for all the public. “I’m so happy of my horse and of the result” said the young Egyptian during the press conference. “Hope (his mare) has already won GPs before, but never at this level. She’s just nine and she’s smaller than her opponents, but she doesn’t know it and she jumps everything!”
Arrived in Europe at eleven years old, now Abdel is living in Belgium, where he started a successful business. “I’ve started from nothing, and now I’ve an amazing stables in Antwerp. I haven’t a big sponsor, but I’ve some excellent students and some interesting horses, like Hope.”
Well, where there is will, there is a way, right Horse Lovers?
Abdel è stato una grande e piacevole sorpresa per tutto il pubblico. “Sono davvero felice del mio cavallo e del risultato” ha detto il giovane egiziano in conferenza stampa. “ Hope (la sua cavalla) aveva già vinto dei GP prima, ma mai a questo livello. Ha solo none anni ed è più piccola di dimensioni di tutti i suoi avversari, ma lei non lo sa e salta tutto!”
Arrivato in Europa all’età di undici anni, Abdel vive oggi in Belgio, dove ha avviato un’attività di successo. “Sono partito da niente e ora ho un bellissimo maneggio a Antwerp. Non ho grandi sponsor, ma ho alcuni ottimi studenti e alleno diversi cavalli interessanti, come Hope.”
Insomma, volere è potere, vero Horse Lovers?
