Tellington TTouch to train horses without dominating

it was definitely nice to be back for an afternoon at the Tellington TTouch training and enjoy the amazing stables of Borgo La Caccia, immersed in the countryside elegance of Brescia, with an incredible spring weather.

è stato bello tornare per un pomeriggio al corso di Tellington TTouch e godermi le meravigliose scuderie Borgo La Caccia, nell’eleganza rustica della campagna bresciana, accompagnata da un tempo incredibilmente primaverile.

Held by Massimo Da Re and his wife Silvia Torresani, Italian veterinarians head of Tellington for horses in Italy, the course “Riding with Science and Consciousness” was a three days training to learn how to educate horses without dominating, to propose exercises in respect of both horse and rider’s individuality, to better respond to behavior and fears, and to refine the quality of communication between rider and horse but also between instructor and its horse riding students.

  

Tenuto da Massimo Da Re e sua moglie Silvia Torresani, due medici veterinari responsabili dei corsi Tellington per cavalli in Italia, il corso “Equitazione con Scienza e Coscienza” è stato un training di tre giorni per imparare ad addestrare i cavalli senza dominare, per conoscere esercizi da proporre nel rispetto delle individualità sia dei cavalieri sia dei cavalli, per rispondere meglio al comportamento e alle paure, per raffinare la qualità di comunicazione tra cavaliere e cavallo, istruttore e allievi.

The course explained and tested the 5 Tellington TTouch cornerstones: the work on the body of the horse, the horse confidence (the T of T-Touch stands for building “Trust”), the work from the ground for a higher learning, the work from the saddle, and last but not least, the careful use of aids to get the horse to work with you. Five simple yet powerful keys to foster communication and easier understanding, in a way that never ceases to amaze me for the learning opportunity it gives to horses and riders. 

Il corso ha illustrato e sperimentato i 5 capisaldi del Metodo Tellington TTouch: il lavoro sul corpo del cavallo, la fiducia del cavallo (la T di T-Touch vuol dire “Trust” che significa proprio fiducia), il lavoro da terra per un alto apprendimento, il lavoro dalla sella e, ultimo ma non in ordine di importanza, l’attrezzatura per aiutare a lavorare con il cavallo dalla giusta distanza. Cinque semplici ma potenti strumenti per migliorare la comunicazione e facilitare la comprensione, in un modo che non smette mai di sorprendermi per la grande opportunità di apprendimento che fornisce sia al cavallo che al cavaliere.
