as I’ve told you some days ago, this was the weekend of the Longines Masters of Paris, the second leg of the Grand Slam Indoor presented by Longines.
The Longines Grand Prix has been the top competition of the Parisian rendezvous, won by Belgian Gregory Wathelet riding Eldorado van het Vijverhof: “my horse has been amazing, the first round was excellent and he was also very fast during the jump-off. Speed was essential, even if it was risky. I’ve decided to take a chance and today the luck was on my side”, he said at the press conference. So, congratulation to Gregory and Eldorado for this well-deserved success, the show has been so exciting!

come vi avevo anticipato qualche giorno fa, questo è stato il fine settimana del Longines Masters di Parigi, la seconda tappa del Grand Slam Indoor presentato da Longines.
A vincere il Longines Grand Prix, che resta l’evento di punta dell’appuntamento parigino, è stato il cavaliere belga Gregory Wathelet in sella a Eldorado van het Vijverhof: “il mio cavallo è stato fantastico, il suo primo round è stato perfetto e durante il barrage è riuscito anche ad essere molto veloce. La velocità era essenziale, anche se si rischiava. Ho deciso di rischiare e oggi la fortuna è stata dalla nostra parte”, ha detto durante la conferenza stampa. Congratulazioni quindi a Gregory e Eldorado per questo meritato successo, lo spettacolo è stato davvero entusiasmante!

Without detracting anything from the Longines Grand Prix, I must confess that my favorite competition has been the Pro-Am for Charity presented by Hyatt, the charity event where great showjumpers compete in costume for a good cause. Each team is made up of two riders: one of the best in the world and an amateur among prominent figures in the world of showbiz, cinema and television.
Between the two Longines Teams, the best result has arrived from Team “Asterix and Obelix” with Jane Richard Philips, Swiss Ambassador of Elegance for Longines, and Nina Mallevaey, young French horsewoman, together as last year. They arrived 3th, behind the French “Pirates” duo Maelle Martin and Moissonnier Megane. The Team Les Cars Bleus - Sauveteurs Sans Frontières, with Belgian Jerome Guery and young French Camille Conde Ferreira, won the competition, marvelously dressed up as “Snow White and Prince Charming”. But the winner in terms of style was the Pro Confort - Regar2moi Team formed by Olympic champion Philippe Rozier and Tamara Zahid, who were very inspired by the Christmas theme.

Senza nulla togliere al Longines Grand Prix, vi devo confessare che la gara che più mi ha divertito è stata la Pro-Am for Charity presentata da Hyatt, l’evento di beneficenza in cui i grandi showjumper si mettono in gioco, vestiti in costume per una buona causa. Ogni squadra è composta da due cavalieri: uno dei migliori al mondo e un amatore tra i personaggi di spicco del mondo dello spettacolo, del cinema e della televisione.

Really special also the second Team Longines, with mom Penelope Leprevost and daughter Eden Blin Lebreton. Dressed up as “Cowboy and Indian”, they arrived in 8th place, after a big show.
Molto speciale anche l’altro team Longines, formato da mamma Penelope Leprevost e la figlia Eden Blin Lebreton. Travestite da “Cowboy e Indiana” sono arrivate solo ottave, dopo aver comunque regalato un grande spettacolo.
