Fashion, like any form of art, is a language with a very strong expressive power, able to communicate, excite and experiment. And this last aspect is the purpose that lies behind the contaminations that the world of fashion design often brings with it: a melting pot of seemingly unrelated elements that results in surreal iconic collections with equestrian flavour. The creativity of fashion houses never ceases to amaze and innovate, making also horse lovers dream. Can you imagine the elegance of horses going hand in hand with the urban style of skateboarding?

la moda, come ogni forma d’arte, è un linguaggio dal fortissimo potere espressivo, capace di comunicare, emozionare e sperimentare. E proprio quest’ultimo aspetto è lo scopo che si cela dietro alle contaminazioni che spesso il mondo del fashion design porta con sé: incontri tra elementi solo apparentemente non correlati che si traducono in collezioni iconiche surreali dal sapore equestre. La creatività delle case di moda non smette mai di stupire e innovare, facendo sognare anche noi horse lover. Riuscite a immaginare l'eleganza del cavallo andare a braccetto con lo stile urban del mondo dello skate?   

Polo Ralph Lauren totally stole the stage last November when, thanks to the brand's incredible aesthetic syncretism, it presented to the world a new capsule collection for men inspired by horses. The project, which is the result of a collaboration between the equestrian-inspired American brand and the London-based streetwear brand Palace, proposes a perfect combination of two completely distinct forms of style and design. On the one hand we have the refinement and elegance of the horse typical of Ralph Lauren, while on the other hand there is all the determination and energy of the most cosmopolitan and urban style of Palace, inspired by the world of skateboarding.

A rubare la scena con un incredibile sincretismo estetico è il brand Polo Ralph Lauren, che lo scorso novembre ha presentato al mondo intero una nuova capsule collection di total look maschili ispirata al cavallo. Il progetto, frutto della collaborazione fra il brand Americano di ispirazione equestre e il marchio streetwear londinese Palace, racchiude in ogni proposta la perfetta combinazione fra due design totalmente differenti. Da una parte abbiamo la raffinatezza e l'eleganza del cavallo tipica di Ralph Lauren, mentre dall’altra c’è tutta la grinta e l’energia dello stile più cosmopolita e urban di Palace, ispirato al mondo dello skate.

The end result is a triumph of bright colours, equestrian inserts, geometric patterns and eccentric dresses destined to leave their mark. The lookbook is an authentic tribute to the free and wild spirit of mankind, and to its spirit of adventure and exploration.

Il risultato finale è un tripudio di colori sgargianti, inserti equestri, pattern geometrici e abiti eccentrici destinati senza dubbio a lasciare il segno. Il lookbook è un vero e proprio omaggio allo spirito libero e selvaggio dell’uomo, e alla sua natura esploratrice e curiosa.

The photo shoots were done in a typical American "Old Wild West" style, with galloping horses, red, sun-drenched soil and awe-inspiring landscapes. The featured models are from the brand Palace, portrayed while riding their stallions or while driving cars in a complete Ralph Laurent look. The merit of these beautiful shots goes to English photographer David Sims, known in the fashion industry for having worked with brands such as Vogue, Levi's, Prada and Louis Vuitton.

Lo shooting è stato realizzato in un ambiente che riproduce al 100% il più tipico stile “Old Wild West” americano, con cavalli al galoppo, terra rossa e panorami senza fine. I modelli sono quelli del brand Palace, ripresi in sella al loro destriero e a bordo di automobili con il loro total look Ralph Laurent.
Il merito degli scatti va tutto al fotografo inglese David Sims, già noto nel settore moda per aver lavorato con marchi come Vogue, Levi’s, Prada e Louis Vuitton.
