Celebrating with Picci Equestrian style

“Love is the strongest force the world possesses” (Mahatma Gandhi)

Dear horse lovers there is always a reason to celebrate but some moments need to be celebrated properly! Yes... I just jumped into the important five years milestone of my wedding fairytale :-)

The fifth year of marriage is also known as the silk anniversary because silk is a very delicate yet precious fabric and like a diamond or a string of pearls contains the essence of true love. So what a better place to celebrate than the Lake of Como?

Como is romantic and undoubtedly the best place in Italy to shop for silk with fine designers of ties and scarves.

I fall in love for two beautiful silk scarves in perfect equestrian style by A. Picci, the historical silk shop in town! All exclusively Made in Italy, A. Picci summarizes the extraordinary crucible of art and craftsmanship rooted in the “Bel Paese” (beautiful country).

After a leisurely stroll into the medieval alleys of the historic centre, we took a boat for a journey along the lake, through a series of waterfront mansions, finally arriving at the Grand Hotel Imperiale where we stayed for the weekend. I strongly recommend it ;-)

If you have time don't miss a visit to the Silk Museum and the Ratti Foundation that offer a precious collection of traditional textile machines, objects, samples and tools from textile processes that made Como the city of silk.

Silk is unique and timeless, and adds a lot of class and elegance. What do you think?
