Dear horse lovers, in the mood for florals and romance from the 70s inspired fashions under the guise of a revisited 80s Berlin pop culture, “Goodbye Horses” become the soundtrack of the new Gucci Spring Summer 2016 advertising campaign, captured by the lenses of the British photographer Glen Luchford!
Cari amanti dei cavalli, in un mood floreale e romantico dal taglio anni ’70 in una rivisitata Berlino anni ’80 dalla cultura pop, “Goodbye Horses” diventa la colonna sonora della nuova campagna pubblicitaria per la Collezione Primavera Estate 2016 di Gucci, diretta dalla regia del fotografo inglese Glen Luchford!
A 1988 song written by William Garvey and performed by the little-known (even at the time) female vocalist Q Lazzarus about the world of transcendence over the earthly and finite world.
According to the writer, the horses represent the five senses from Hindu philosophy hence the song references the ability to lift one’s perception above physical limitations and to see beyond a earthly limited perspective: a leitmotiv at the basis of the latest Gucci creations!
Un brano del 1988 scritto da William Garvey e interpretato dalla voce semi-sconosciuta (anche all’epoca) di Q Lazzarus che esalta il mondo della trascendenza rispetto al mondo terreno e finito.
Secondo lo scrittore, i cavalli nella filosofia Indù rappresentano i cinque sensi, infatti, la canzone fa riferimento alla capacità di elevare la percezione umana al di sopra dei limiti fisici e di vedere al di là della prospettiva terrena: un leitmotiv che sta alla base delle ultime creazioni di Gucci!
