Dear Horse Lovers,
The 12th leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour just ended in London. Like that of Berlin, even this one was an amazing news for the LGCT 2017: this year the organizers of the tour really want to pamper us! The place that has been chosen to be the theater of this new appointment was the Royal Hospital Chelsea, in the heart of London: an elegant historical palace near the Thames.
For this leg too, I would have advised an elegant and refined outfit, as Chantilly, but with a British detail, as demonstrated by super model Jodie Kidd wearing a cheery tartan shirt borrowed from the Scottish brethren!
After all, London is also synonymous with fashion and innovation and the tartan has never ceased to attract the attention of the fashion world, in a fast-paced rise from traditional pattern to glamorous fashion runway detail.

La 12^ tappa del Longines Global Champions Tour si è appena conclusa a Londra. Come quella di Berlino, anche questa è una grande novità del LGCT 2017: quest’anno gli organizzatori del tour vogliono davvero viziarci! Ad essere scelto come teatro di questo nuovo appuntamento è stato il Royal Hospital Chelsea nel cuore di Londra: un elegante palazzo storico a due passi dal Tamigi.
Anche per questa tappa avrei consigliato un outfit elegante e raffinato, come Chantilly, ma con un tocco British come ha fatto la top model Jodie Kidd, indossando una camicia in tartan presa in prestito dai fratelli scozzesi!
Dopotutto Londra è anche sinonimo di moda e innovazione e il tartan non ha mai smesso di attrarre le attenzioni del mondo della moda, in una rapida ascesa da trama tradizionale a pattern glamour da passerella.
In addition to the spectacular place, also the uniform of the home team of the Global Champions League, the London Knights, really impressed me. It reminds me the famous British telephone-box red color :-)
I must admit I have a weakness for this red shade: lively and passionate, it infuses big energy. Maybe this is the reason why I particularly love the jackets of Kent Farrington, Ben Maher, Eduardo Menezes, Enrique Gonzalez and Emily Moffitt. They have a touch of color that can’t be unnoticed on the field. What do you think Horse Lovers?
Oltre al luogo, davvero spettacolare, quello che mi ha colpito molto è stata la divisa della squadra di casa della Global Champions League, i London Knights. Mi ricorda il colore rosso delle famose cabine telefoniche inglesi :-)
Ammetto di avere un debole per il rosso: un colore vivo, passionale, che mi trasmette una grande carica d’energia. Forse è per questo che le giacche di Kent Farrington, Ben Maher, Eduardo Menezes, Enrique Gonzalez ed Emily Moffitt mi piacciono particolarmente. Hanno un tocco di colore che non passa inosservato in campo, non trovate anche voi Horse Lovers?
The Miami Glory won the London leg of the GCL, beating the Valkenswaard United: an amazing home triumph for Scott Brash! The Scottish rider also won the Longines Grand Prix of the LGCT of London, followed by another British rider, Ben Maher.
A conquistare la tappa londinese della GCL sono stati i Miami Glory, che hanno battuto sul tempo i Valkenswaard United: un bel trionfo casalingo per Scott Brash! Il cavaliere scozzese ha poi anche vinto il Longines Grand Prix del LGCT di Londra, seguito da un altro britannico, Ben Maher!
Like in Berlin, also in London two local riders arrived 1st and 2nd: I hope this could been a good omen for the leg of Rome! We will see, meanwhile the next appointment is in Valkenswaard next week: finally we will discover the uniforms of the leaders of the Global Champions League ranking, the Valkenswaard United!
Come a Berlino, anche a Londra due cavalieri locali sono arrivati al primo e al secondo posto: speriamo che sia di buon auspicio per la tappa di Roma! Staremo a vedere, intanto vi do appuntamento alla prossima settimana per la tappa di Valkenswaard: finalmente scopriremo le divise dei leader della classifica della Global Champions League, i Valkenswaard United!
