Wonderfully wonderful Verona’s Longines FEI World Cup™: when romance meets show jumping

“Horses lend us the wings we lack”

Hi everyone! As most of you guys know, I visited Verona’s Fieracavalli with the winged hourglass Longines for a unique thrilling weekend and a very good company ;-)

After the Gold Gala show and the Longines party, I woke up on Sunday morning in the beautiful “Juliet’s dream” relais, just inside the courtyard of Juliet’s house and the balcony of the most famous love story in the world. A very romantic place at the crossroads between reality and fantasy

The Longines FEI World Cup™ jumping is the one and only Italian leg of European League, an undeniable appointment for all lovers of show jumping! Thanks to Longines, partner and official timekeeper  of the event,  I walked the course designed by Uliano Vezzani to plan the lines and count the strides before the beginning of the competition :-)

Here for you a video of the competition and some nice pics ;-)

The Italian Emanuele Gaudiano on Admara II approaching the initial course.

My preferred rider Luca Moneta on Neptune Brecourt at the Longines jump. They are beautiful!

The three-time FEI World Cup™ Jumping champion Marcus Ehning from Germany with Cornado NRW lined up in third position. Congratulation!

The Longines Ambassador of Elegance Jane Richard Philips on her fabulous chestnut Quister de Guldenboom.

The Dutch Maikel van der Vleuten on one of his best loved horses VDL Groep Verdi scored second with 35.74 sec!

Funny jump of Maikel van der Vleuten coming out the combination of three Fixdesign obstacles. He's also famous for his faces :-D

Fifth place for Piergiorgio Bucci and Casallo Z at the jump-off. Congratulation!

Winner of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping qualifier in Verona is the Irish Bertram Allen of only 19 years old riding the grey mare Molly Malone V. Together they are simply phenomenal stopping the clock at 34.89 sec!

The award ceremony with the Irish flag tricolour of green, white and orange in honor of the winner Bertram Allen who received a magnificent Longines Conquest Classic watch as official timepiece of this 116th edition of Fieracavalli.

Thanks Longines for the wonderful experience, Verona will remain in my heart!
