Let’s the season start... with the Mexican Sombrero!

Dear Horse Lovers,

Also this year, Tacchi a Cavallo will follow the World's premier five-star show jumping event, the Longines Global Champions Tour 2017: high level competitions, the best horse riders in the world, incredible horses, unique destinations, but also fashion and lifestyle! 
I’ve decided to dedicate a special space to the Global Champions League and at the team’s uniforms that make the show even more glamour (here are the GCL teams).

Anche quest’anno Tacchi a Cavallo seguirà con attenzione l’evento a cinque-stelle più importante nel mondo del salto ostacoli, il Longines Global Champions Tour 2017: gare di altissimo livello, i migliori cavalieri e amazzoni del mondo, cavalli incredibili, destinazioni uniche, ma anche arte, moda e lifestyle! Infatti, ho deciso di dedicare uno spazio speciale alla Global Champions League e alle divise delle sue squadre che rendono l’evento ancora più glamour (Ecco qui le squadre del GCL).

The home team of the first leg of Mexico City is the Mexico Amigos, featuring top German rider Christian Ahlmann (GER), Swedish star Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), top Norwegian athlete Geir Gulliksen (NOR), Brazilian competitor Yuri Mansur (BRA) and U25 rider Evelina Tovek (SWE). Dressed with elegant blue jackets with little red details, Christian Ahlmann, Geir Gulliksen and Yuri Mansur obtained the 10th position, but they feel even more hardened than ever. The polo they worn during the warm-up it’s blue with white details that stands out. Less chic than the jacket, simple but elegant anyway.

I padroni di casa della prima tappa di Città del Messico erano i Mexico Amigos, formati dai cavalieri Christian Ahlmann (GER), Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), Geir Gulliksen (NOR), Yuri Mansur (BRA) e l’amazzone U25 Evelina Tovek (SWE). Vestiti con eleganti giacche blu con piccoli dettagli rossi sul colletto e sulle tasche, Christian Ahlmann, Geir Gulliksen e Yuri Mansur hanno ottenuto la decima posizione totale, ma si dicono più agguerriti che mai. La polo indossata in allenamento o nei momenti di pausa è sempre di colore blu, con i dettagli bianchi che risaltano. Meno chic della giacca, ma comunque elegante nella sua semplicità.

Valkenswaard United won the leg of GCL of Mexico City thanks to the excellent competitions of Alberto Zorzi on Cornetto K and Bertram Allen on Hector van d'Abdijhoeve.

An amazing show took place also at the Grand Prix, with the victory of the Swiss Martin Fuchs. “My horse Chaplin gave his heart for me and I’m very happy.” At just 24, Martin Fuchs obtained his first success at LGCT, compliments!

La tappa della GCL di Città del Messico è andata ai Valkenswaard United, grazie alle eccellenti prove di Alberto Zorzi su Cornetto K e Bertram Allen su Hector van d'Abdijhoeve.

Grande spettacolo anche nel Grand Prix, con lo svizzero Martin Fuchs che si è aggiudicato la vittoria. “Il mio cavallo Chaplin ha dato davvero tutto quello che aveva per me e sono molto contento del risultato che abbiamo ottenuto insieme.” Ad appena 24 anni, Martin è riuscito a centrare il suo primo trionfo al LGCT, complimenti!

The special “sombrero” dedicated to the Mexican leg is for sure the accessory that I have appreciated the most: black with Longines logo, Title Partner, Timekeeper and Official Watch of the circuit, embroidered in gold, with small details, really very classy!

If you have followed the competitions, you surely noticed that one of the greatest protagonist of the Longines Global Champions Tour is missing: I’m talking about Edwina Tops-Alexander. She announced that she and her husband Jan Tops (founder of LGCT) are waiting for their first baby and for that reason she’s going to have a break from the competitions! Congratulations Edwina, we will wait for you!


Il “sombrero” dedicato alla tappa messicana è l’accessorio che ho apprezzato di più: nero con il logo Longines, Title Partner, Cronometrista e Orologio Ufficiale del circuito, ricamato in oro, con piccoli dettagli, davvero molto fine!

Se avete seguito le gare vi sarete accorti che manca una delle grandi protagoniste del Longines Global Champions Tour, Edwina Tops-Alexander. Edwina ha infatti annunciato che lei e il marito Jan Tops (fondatore del LGCT) aspettano il loro primo bambino e per questo motivo si prenderà una pausa dalle competizioni! Congratulazioni Edwina, ti aspettiamo!
