Royal Ascot 2017: The best of fashion
The Royal Family is one of the big protagonists. During the opening day of the event, on Tuesday June 20th, the green lime outfit of Queen Elizabeth, surprised everyone: the bookmakers betted for a blue outfit for Her Majesty! Very beautiful the dress of Kate Middleton. Well, the Duchess of Cambridge already chose a (very) similar dress last year, getting immediate attention from the press. For the Royal Ascot 2017, Kate has decided to wear a white lace dress designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, with high neck and scalloped floral details. Simple and elegant the blue dress by Escada of Zara Tindall, godmother of the little George and cousin of Prince William.
La Famiglia Reale è senza dubbio grande protagonista. Nella giornata di apertura dell’evento, martedì 20 giugno, il completo verde lime della Regina Elisabetta ha sorpreso tutti: i bookmaker puntavano sul colore blu per l’outfit di Sua Maestà! Bellissimo il vestito scelto da Kate Middleton. A dire la verità, la Duchessa di Cambridge aveva scelto un abito (molto) simile anche lo scorso anno, attirando subito l’attenzione della stampa. Per partecipare al Royal Ascot 2017, Kate ha scelto un abito bianco di pizzo disegnato da Sarah Burton per Alexander McQueen, a collo alto e con dettagli floreali smerlati. Semplice ed elegante l’abito blu di Escada di Zara Tindall, madrina del piccolo George e cugina del Principe William.
The passion for the equestrian world of the Royal Family is well known, just consider that Queen Elizabeth still rides. Princes William and Harry play polo, while Zara is a professional eventing athlete and she even conquered an Olympic medal at London’s 2012 Games, winning the silver for Great Britain in teams competition.

And who could possibly be the best official partner and timekeeper for Royal Ascot 2017 than Longines? The Swiss watchmaker, which celebrated last year the ten-year anniversary of its partnership with Ascot, presented many awards during the first day of races. Longines Vice President and Head of International Marketing Juan-Carlos Capelli, presented a watch from the new Longines Master Collection to Stevie Donohoe, the winning jockey of The Coventry Stakes with Rajasinghe. Later, the owners of Lady Aurelia, the winning horse The King’s Stand Stakes, received an elegant Longines watch from the hands of TRH's The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

La casa orologiaia svizzera, che lo scorso anno ha festeggiato il decimo anniversario con Ascot, ha consegnato diversi premi durante la prima giornata di gare.
