My dear Horse Lovers,
Autumn has finally come, even though the last beautiful sunny days tricked us into believing that summer would never go away. I have always lived this season as a particular and magical period of the year: cups of tea and steaming hot chocolate, the leaves turning yellow painting the landscapes with pleasant warm tones.
Blame it on this intimate and unique atmosphere, blame it on October being the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but I feel particularly motivated to talk to you about a project that I love from the bottom of my heart.
Miei cari Horse Lovers,
l’autunno è ormai arrivato, sebbene le ultime meravigliose giornate di sole ci stiano facendo credere che l’estate non voglia saperne di andarsene via. Ho sempre vissuto questa stagione come un periodo dell’anno particolare e magico. Tazze di the e cioccolata fumante, le foglie che iniziano a ingiallirsi, colorando i paesaggi di tonalità calde incantevoli.
Sarà questa atmosfera intima e speciale, sarà che ottobre è il mese dedicato alla prevenzione dei tumori al seno, ma mi sento particolarmente motivata a parlarvi di un progetto che amo dal profondo del mio cuore.
You already know that, in addition to my great passion for horses and fashion, I have always been fascinated and excited about projects coming from women and aimed at other women. It is not a simple matter of entrepreneurship, rather the firm belief that women can do a lot. We are creatures full of potential, sensitivity, determination, strong solidarity and desire for change.
These are all ingredients that I found in – and loved about – Fienile Animato, which I have supported for the last couple of years. As already mentioned here, the purpose of its project is a very noble one: creating a safe, rejuvenating and loving environment where women who had breast cancer surgery, as well as other women can regain serenity through equine therapy. The head of the project is Dr. Beatrice Garzotto who, in addition to being a Horse Lover herself, like the rest of us, is also a certified psychologist and Equine Therapist at The Gestalt Equine Institute of Rockies of Colorado.
Sapete bene che, oltre alla mia grandissima passione per i cavalli e per la moda, rimango sempre molto affascinata ed emozionata quando sento parlare di progetti che nascono dalle donne e si rivolgono ad altre donne. Non è una semplice questione di sviluppo dell’imprenditoria femminile quanto, piuttosto, la ferma convinzione che noi donne possiamo fare davvero tanto. Ci portiamo dentro un potenziale fatto di sensibilità, di determinazione, di solidarietà reciproca e voglia di cambiamento.
Questi sono tutti ingredienti che ho ritrovato (e adorato) in Fienile Animato, che amo e supporto da oltre due anni. Come vi ho già raccontato in passato qui, il loro scopo è davvero nobile: creare un ambiente sicuro, rigenerante e pieno di amore in cui le donne operate di tumore al seno (e non solo loro) possano ritrovare la serenità attraverso l’equine therapy. A capo del progetto troviamo la dottoressa Beatrice Garzotto che, oltre ad essere una Horse Lover come noi, è una psicologa certificata Equine Therapist presso The Gestalt Equine Institute of Rockies del Colorado.
The beauty of the project has moved me and affected me so much that, when I created my line of scarves Tacchi a Cavallo, I decided to contribute by donating 5% of each sale to the association.
I am confident that we, as women, have the ability to make the world a better place. We have the right sensitivity, empathy and courage that today’s society desperately needs. Do you agree, Horse Lovers?
La bellezza del progetto mi ha commossa e colpita a tal punto che, quando ho creato la mia linea di foulard Tacchi a Cavallo, ho deciso di contribuire in prima persona donando all’associazione il 5% di ogni vendita.
Sono convinta che noi donne abbiamo la capacità di rendere il mondo un posto migliore. Abbiamo la giusta sensibilità, capacità di empatia e di coraggio di cui la nostra società ha sempre più bisogno, al giorno d’oggi. Siete d’accordo, Horse Lovers?
