It's not the first time that I write a post about this beautiful collection and the Longines watches. Following my passion for horses, I discovered a world of timepieces dedicated to women with a love for equestrian sports, tribute to the elegance and performance achieved by horsewomen.

Non è la prima volta che scrivo un post su questa bellissima collezione e sugli orologi Longines. Seguendo la mia passione per i cavalli, ho scoperto un mondo di orologi dedicati alle donne che amano gli sport equestri, omaggio all'eleganza e alle prestazioni raggiunte dalle amazzoni.
Fedele al mix di tradizione e innovazione specifico di Longines, i modelli della Equestrian Collection si ispirano a elementi risolutamente moderni tipici del mondo equino: ferri di cavallo, staffe e la pelle pregiata delle selle.
The ideal set to appreciate the Longines Equestrian Collection is, of course, the Longines Global Champions Tour series. At the leg of Rome this year, I wore the stirrup model while enjoying the elite of the world of show jumping as guest of Longines. As the name suggests, this feminine and classic watch is inspired by riding stirrups. And in this case, the stirrups elegantly connect the 27mm stainless steel case to a soft brown leather strap. The elegance of this timepiece is enriched by a cascade of diamonds that enhances the harmonious lines of the case, and by a beautifully round mother pearls dial decorated with the blue accents on the hands, diamonds on the indexes of numbers and the brand’s iconic winged hourglass logo. The watch is also powered by a quartz movement and the date window at 3 o’clock provides a useful function. This wristwatch is the perfect way to wear your love for horses all year round!
Il set ideale per apprezzare la Longines Equestrian Collection è, certamente, il Longines Global Champions Tour. Alla tappa di Roma quest'anno, ho indossato il modello della staffa godendomi l'élite del mondo del salto a ostacoli come ospite di Longines. Come suggerisce il nome, questo orologio femminile e classico è ispirato alle staffe da equitazione. In questo caso, le staffe collegano elegantemente la cassa in acciaio inossidabile da 27 mm a un morbido cinturino in pelle marrone. L'eleganza di questo segnatempo è arricchita da una cascata di diamanti, che impreziosisce le linee armoniose della cassa, e da un bellissimo quadrante rotondo in madreperla decorato con accenti blu sulle lancette, diamanti sugli indici dei numeri e l'iconico logo a clessidra alato del marchio. Thanks to Longines, Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the series, I was able to enter the arena during the reconnaissance of the Longines Global Champions tour Grand Prix of Rome. Keeping an eye on the time during the course designed by Chef de Piste Uliano Vezzani was a pleasure with my wristwatch from the Equestrian Collection. I played with its glamorous side, combining its elegant lines with a very original motif, equestrian inspired dress by Attic and Barn, in an area as charming as the Stadio dei Marmi, and next to the best riders in the world. Among them, also the beautiful Jessica Springsteen.
Grazie a Longines, Title Partner e Official Timekeeper delle serie, sono entrata in campo durante il giro di ricognizione del Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix di Roma. Tenere d'occhio il tempo durante il percorso disegnato dallo Chef de Piste Uliano Vezzani è stato un piacere con l'orologio della Equestrian Collection al polso. Ho giocato con il suo lato glamour, unendo le sue linee eleganti con un vestito di Attic and Barn dal motivo molto originale, ispirato al mondo equestre, in un'area affascinante come lo Stadio dei Marmi, e accanto ai migliori cavalieri del mondo. Tra questi, anche la bellissima Jessica Springsteen.
All the models of the Longines Equestrian Collection are connected to the equine world. Longines passion for equestrian sports dates back to 1878 when the House produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his horse. Timepieces created by the brand have been used in racing events since the late 1800s. In 1912, the company partnered for the first time with an international show jumping competition. Today Longines is involved with show jumping, flat racing and endurance competitions in equestrian sports, including the Longines Global Champions Tour series. The magical city of Rome hosted the penultimate round of action of the 2018 series championship battle, this September. All eyes are now for the final in Doha on November to see who will be crowned the LGCT Champion of Champions, and then Prague for the premiere of the thrilling new Global Champions Playoffs format, promising unforgettable excitement for millions of equestrian fans worldwide.

La passione di Longines per gli sport equestri risale al 1878 quando la Maison produsse un cronografo inciso con un fantino e il suo cavallo. I segnatempo creati dal marchio sono stati utilizzati negli eventi sportivi sin dalla fine del 1800. Nel 1912, la compagnia si unì per la prima volta a una competizione internazionale di salto ostacoli. Oggi Longines è impegnata in gare di salto ostacoli, corse e endurance negli sport equestri, compreso il circuito del Longines Global Champions Tour.
